Non Mac Monitor to work as the display for a macbook?

I have an Acer al200w monitor. ( http://www.thinkcomputers.org/index.php?x=reviews&id=657 ) I want to know if there's an adapter that i can use my Acer monitor to be use as my display for my MacBook. thanks!

as long as the monitor video connector is the same is the one on the mac, then yes it should.

apple make a DVI - VGA adapter.

Yep, Apple does indeed make an adapter you can use to connect your Macbook to that monitor. Since that monitor has DVI, you should use Apple's miniDVI-to-DVI adapter (if you have the old Macbook), or the miniDisplayPort-to-DVI adatper (if you have the new LED Macbook). Always use DVI preferentially over VGA. DVI is digital, VGA is analog, and DVI performs more consistently at higher resolutions. Hope this helps.
